It was quite a long time before I developed a passion for painting. I then rapidly spent about ten years studying several professional artists in order to refine the principles of perspective, light and shade.

When the moment came to retire, I gradually found my own style, combining collage and acrylic paint. I really enjoy breaking down all sorts of paper in order to reconstruct them, better, in my own works, thus giving them a new life!

My colour palette: it’s the infinite range of paper, and, like a painter, I apply tiny touches of these little scraps of paper to add depth and relief to my canvases!

 

This can be seen particularly in the series “the girlfriends”, where I recount my memories, real or imagined.

The style of drawing, the colours and, above all, the intentional disproportion of my subjects, make it easy for the spectator to enter into this world full of imaginary memories. Their own memories do the rest.

The timeless faces may evoke something unreal or very close

It’s up to us to dream or to remember!!

 

My other theme, the “seasons”, is more classic, allowing me to evoke, still using collage, my coloured sensations of different periods of the year, here or elsewhere.

What I am looking for: above all to share joy with those who appreciate the colour in my works and who may delight in them.
